Rotom: Electric / Ghost Type

All other Pokemon in the throne room went silent as Rotom's giggles were heard echoing around the chamber. The Aggron King stepped closer, glared at her, and through clenched teeth spat, "Do you think this is funny? Because I assure you, I am not joking when I say that you and your friends have to behave yourselves or it’s off to the dungeon for you." Rotom tried to suppress a smile and looked at the ground in response. Aggron walked back to his throne and glared at her saying, "Good." As soon as he sat down, a loud, drawn out toot rang out, causing Rotom to erupt in laughter. He had fallen for it, her whoopee cushion had been a success, she thought, as the Aggron’s face started to turn dark red.

Rotom's body is made up of a type of plasma. This allows them to be able to possess magic infused items or anything with electricity flowing through it. They will often use this ability to wreak havoc and spook other Pokemon.

When Rotom find the perfect item to possess, they will often do whatever they can to stay inside it, only being forced out of it when they pass out. Some Rotom have contently spent years inside a single object. How Rotom are able to possess things is unknown to everyone, including Rotom themselves.

Rotom will often spend most of their lives traveling around and gleefully causing problems for other Pokemon. The only thing that would cause them to settle down and stay in one place for a long time is if they found an item that they really enjoyed possessing and were content to just be that item. There are some Rotom who have possessed an item for so long they have forgotten what it's like to be a normal Rotom.

Rotom Traits

Allignment: Almost all Rotom enjoy causing mischief. Their acts often border on the edge of funny and rude, with a handful of their pranks being mean-spirited. They love to get reactions out of Pokemon and will often cause problems and laugh at inappropriate times.

This is the only evolution of this line. Rotom can not evolve.

Rotom Names

Possible names for Rotom

On occasion when a rotom has possessed something for a long time they may change their name to better match the object they possess. Some possible names they may take are: Rotom, Motisma, Rotomu, Loutuomu, Potom, Moteur or Mu.

Abilities: Pick One

Levitate: As you hover above the ground you see a rock flying towards you. You gracefully float higher and the rock flies underneath you. You are the master of the sky, no one can hit you out of it.

All Ground type racial attacks have no effect on you. You are also immune to difficult terrain and effects that are bound to the ground (such as caltrops or the entangle spell.


You can possess any magical or electrical items that are 6 times your size to 1/6 your regular size. Doing this changes your typing, size and weight. What type you transform into is up to your DM with the secondary typing always being Electric. You can not switch possessions in battle, and your speed may be slowed by the item you choose to possess. The item can still engage its normal functions but you can cause it to move and speak from it. If you pass out or die, you are no longer attached to the item. Evolution Trait

Shock: Once per long rest you can cause any of your melee damage rolls to deal lightning damage rather than its normal damage type. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.

Rotom was vaguely aware of his surroundings. He could hear the crackling of the stove and feel its cool bricks. He hadn't moved or even opened his eyes for a very long time, not ever since he had possessed this hearth. There was some Pokemon family that had been using him for awhile now. What Pokemon were they... Oddish…? Yeah ,that sounded right. Whenever they lit a fire inside the hearth, it filled him with warmth; he could spend eternity with that feeling and never get sick of it. As he took another shallow breath, a sharp pain suddenly hit him in the side, causing his eyes to flash open. In front of the hearth was a large Gurdurr with a war hammer, getting ready to take another swing at the hearth. What on earth was he doing?!?!
