Quilava: Fire Type

"Shut up!" shouted Quilava, "You don't know me! You have no idea the pain I have had to live through!" She quickly jumped out of the way as a volley of arrows flew towards her. She regained her footing as she shouted, tears starting to roll down her face, "Please! Just leave me alone!" She turned her back to her foe and shot flames toward them as she tried to wipe tears from her face.

When Quilava show off, they will turn their back to the creature they are showing off to and cause the flames on their back to ignite in a pattern unique to that Quilava. Some more talented Quilava can even cause different color flames to dance in their fire. They may also burst into flames to intimidate and attack nearby foes.

A Quilava's fur is non-flammable, allowing them to walk through fire without a problem. However, if they are in warm areas for extended periods of time, they can still get overheated. When they are excited, they may lose control of their flames causing them to burn incredibly hot and may even change color due to the flames intensity.

Quilava aren't picky about where they live as long as it is warm. They hate cold locations and will do whatever they have to do to not be cold. If forced into a frozen location they will complain endlessly about their discomfort. Their timid nature dissolves upon evolution and they are no longer afraid to impose on others if they need to and complain when they are uncomfortable.

Quilava walked along the dirt path, knocking stones around with the butt of his staff as he moved. He was bored out of his mind. He had just finished up his last quest and parted ways with the group of adventurers that he had traveled with and now he was stuck with nothing to do. He hit a rock with his foot causing it to skip farther down the road. “I guess it could be worse." He sighed to himself. He could be trapped in a dungeon somewhere left to rot, but even that wouldn't be too bad, at least then he could try to come up with a plan to escape rather than just sitting there with nothing to do. Something behind him rustled and before he had a chance to turn around, flames engulfed him. He wasn't sure what was going on, but at least it was something!
