Paras: Bug / Grass Type

Paras held onto his friends arms as tight as he could, he could feel the spores wanting him to drop her, but if he did, she would die. She was screaming at him now, but he couldn't hear her words, he had to focus on staying in control. Taking a few deep breaths he tried to pull her up from the cliffs edge. He almost had her up, but right before she was able to pull herself the rest of the way the spores took over. they would do what was best for him. they didn't care for others. they only wanted to save themselves.

Not Available

Paras mostly eat tree roots and sap, however they only gain half the nutrients they eat, the other half going to the mushrooms growing on their back. Because of this, Paras tend to always be tired and hungry, constantly looking for enough food to satisfy both it and its host. The fungus particle controls the Pokemon, but half of the time Paras is in control as well.

Not Available

When Paras are born they are doused with the parasitic spores, as the spores grow, the Pokemon does too. The mushrooms on their back are known as 'Tochukaso' mushrooms and can occasionally be harvested and then used as medicine for old, frail Pokemon giving the life they sucked out of paras to them. However the medicine must be powdered to work, otherwise it is poisonous.

Not Available

Whether it is by their own wishes, or the wishes of their host no one is quite sure, but Paras tend to enjoy living in underground homes often with large trees growing over them. On sleepless nights they will nibble on the tree roots for a night snack. If there not careful, they will eat their homes.

Paras Traits

Allignment: Paras often find themselves not in control of their own actions, when in a life threatening situation, the parasite attached to them will often take control to save them. However when they are in control of their actions, they tend to be kind and helpful to those around them.

Paras curled up into a tight ball under her makeshift shelter of dried leaves. It was a cold night and this was all the cover she could find, but it should be enough for tonight. She closed her eyes and drifted off for the night. The next sound she heard was an ear splitting scream. Her eyes flashed open and laying in front of her was a wounded pokemon crying in pain. She tried to take a step towards it and ask what was wrong, but her body wouldn't budge, she wasn't in control. She looked around trying to get clues as to what had happened when she spotted it, a bloodied club in her hand. She had caused this, no the spores had, but why?
