Players Pokedex How to play

Natu: Psychic / Flying Type

Natu looked at the long card in her grasp and started to shake. No, no this- this wasn’t right.” she flipped the backside of the card up before turning it back over as if giving the card a second chance to show her something different, but the picture on the card was the same. She used to not believe in fortune telling, it was for con ‘mon and entertainers, but ever since she had gotten this deck of remarkably detailed cards off a traveling fortune teller they had predicted her future and never been wrong. She slipped the card back into the deck, her mind racing. If that was going to be her future...well she would just have to plan for it.

Even though Natu have small bodies, their even smaller wings are not large enough to give them flight. Instead they use their wings to help them hop around from place to place, the extra lift makes them able to jump to incredible heights if the situation demands it. When foraging for food or enjoying themselves they will happily skip about and even softly whistle. The preferred food of many Natu are the new buds on trees and the inside flesh of cacti. They will spend many hours hopping around trees in the spring to nibble on the new shoots and have been known to strip cacti of their spines in order to eat them.

The large eyes that Natu have can often be found staring at things. They like to observe others silently and try to predict their actions. If what they guessed was correct the red crest on their head will stand up on end making it almost appear as if they have turned into an exclamation mark. They often don’t realize they are staring as they are in a deep state of focus, it's only if someone points it out or moves towards them that they will snap out of it.

Many Natu will make their homes in savannahs with a number of them carving their homes out of cacti. Those that prefer to live in wetter environments will often try to make their homes in the highest location they can. It's not uncommon to see Natu gazing out at the stars at night, no one is quite sure why they do this and when asked most Natu will say it's ‘comforting’.”

Natu Traits

Allignment: Although not necessarily a ‘cold’ Pokemon, many Natu find that their logical way of thinking to be off putting to others. They tend to think in terms of actions and consequences doing their best to predict outcomes when they can. If emotions play a part in that calculator they will make a note of it, but rarely their emotions will be a factor in their actions.

The Natu line live to be about 100 years old. They reach maturity around 16 but are not considered to be adults till 18 years old. When they are born the wings on Natu are extremely small, but as they grow older their wings grow in size as well. In fact their wings never really stop growing with some Natu that have made it past 100 having wings almost large enough to fly with.

You can speak, read and write Common and Jthooic. Natu tend to speak with little emotion in their voice, however once and awhile a Natu who is bubbly will come along breaking the norm. It is also not uncommon for Natu to have a slightly nasally voice speaking more in their beak then their throat.

Abilities: Pick One

Synchronize: You watch what your enemy is doing and can start to see a pattern in their attacks. So that's how they do that. Now that you know their secret, it's your turn to hit them.

When you gain a condition you may use your reaction to give the same condition to the creature who gave you the condition.

Early Bird: You are fast asleep and having the most wonderful dream...Hold on a second, weren't you just battling? Your eyes flash open, oh crap! You fell asleep on the battlefield, how did that even happen?

If you have the sleep condition, at the start of your turn you may make a Wisdom save against the save that puts you to sleep, if successful you wake up.

Magic Bounce: Your foe lightly brushes up against you and you can feel the poison particles touch your skin. Oh no, this won't due at all. You grab the poison and slap it into their face. You will not take any of that crap.

As a reaction, any non damaging effect that would normally give you a condition is reflected back at the caster and will give them the condition. Conditions that negate the ability to take actions, such as unconscious or incapacitated can not be reflected. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier per long rest.

High jump

With aid from your small wings you can jump and hop much higher than others. Your jump distance is double the average distance of most creatures. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.

Natu sat on the edge of his seat, his eyes wide as he watched the gladiators fight in the ring below him. His mind was traveling at the speed of light as he attempted to predict their attacks and ultimately who would win. He was getting rather good at it now but not quite enough to feel comfortable enough to bet on the outcome. No, he needed to watch them all a bit longer to get a good idea of weaknesses and strategies. Only once he could reliably pick a winner he would be able to become disgustingly wealthy.
