Marowak: Ground Type

Marowak sat on the top of a mound of bones. They would be here soon, and when they were… She gripped her club tighter. There would be a fight, there was no doubt about that. The question was whether or not they would bring outsiders with them. Since they were fighting in a Marowak boneyard, that made it less likely, but she didn’t put it past them to bring outsiders and break their oaths. “Ossatu!” a voice yelled behind her, making her turn around. Her heart sank; they had brought outsiders. That would make things a lot harder.

Most Marowak prefer to make their weapons out of bone. They will spend long hours carving the bone to the perfect shape and often putting intricate markings into the bone to remind them of their homes. Whail some use the bones of their loved ones as weapons, most are fine using any bones they find lying around. They may also use these bones to tap out secret messages to others.

Once a Marowak comes to terms with its mother's death, its spirit becomes hardy. The hardships they have lived through make it almost impossible to make them cry. However, this is at the cost of having a hard time showing any emotion.

Marowak have hidden graveyards that they often live in. Only Marowak and Cubone can be buried there. Each graveyard is watched over by a different Marowak and the graveyard looks different depending on how the Marowak takes care of it. Abilities: Pick One

Rock Head: As you attack your foe you can see the blades from your strike slice your hand open, but you don’t feel a thing, you refuse to feel anything. Pain is for the weak, and you are not weak.

Any attack that you use that would normally deal damage to yourself no longer causes you to lose health.

Lightning Rod: You smile as the electricity dances around you. For some reason electrical energy always tended to be attracted to you, but you aren't complaining. Something about the way it dances seems soothing.

If you are in range of an attack dealing lightning damage or an Electric type racial attack you may force it to target you. If you are hit with any attack dealing lightning damage, your next damage dealing attack deals an extra die of lightning damage. Once per long rest you may cause yourself to be resistant to any attack dealing lightning damage or immune to any Electric type racial attack, if the attack would have a secondary effect the effect is also negated.

Battle Armor: Your foe runs straight at you. You side step and their weapon glances off your armor. That was a close one, it's a good thing you decided to get the expensive stuff!

If you would take a critical hit, the enemy must roll again, adding their attack modifier to the new roll. If they roll less then your AC, then the attack rolls damage as if it was normal damage.

Bones

You can harvest bone from a slain creature that is large or small in size to create one of the following items: A shield, club, javelin, sickle or 1D4 darts or blowgun needles. To use this traite you need a short blade (like a dagger) or appropriate artisan tools like woodcarvers tools. You can make one item per short rest. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.

Marowak set a flower down by his mother's headstone. It had been a while since he had visited her grave. He had stood here three years ago, sobbing his eyes out, having felt his heart rip in two after the loss of his mother. Now, he still felt sad, but his emotions were numbed from the experiences he had been through. He missed her, but he had moved on and was living his life now. He buttoned up his cloak as the rain started to lightly fall. It would be a while before he would be able to come back, but that was okay. He knew his mother's spirit would always be with him protecting him.
