Mareep: Electric Type

Mareep’s shield bounced on top of her back as she lazily wandered down the road, lost in thought. She didn’t know where she was heading, but then again, she never did. She didn’t believe in having “destinations”. If you had a plan, then you would be less likely to take opportunities that weren't in the direction you were headed, and you should always take every opportunity that life throws at you. Having not been watching where she was going, her head hit something, causing her to stop. Looking up, she saw an armored guard glaring down at her. Where would this encounter lead her?

As Mareep walk, their wool will gather static electricity from all around them. The more electricity they gather, the brighter the bulb on the end of their tail will glow. It is said that if a Mareep is never touched by another Pokemon within its whole life, its tail will glow a bright blue.

Touching Mareep’s wool will shock any non-electric type Pokemon, however most of the time it won't hurt, only startle. Mareep’s wool is so fluffy that it make them look twice as big as they really are of surprising other when they can fit into cramped spaces by just compressing there wool. During the summer, Mareep will shed all of their wool in clumps but will grow all of it back within a week. During this time they are often cold and will wear an excessive amount of clothes to feel comfortable. Air can easily circulate through their wool to help keep them cool in the summer and warm in the winter and there spare wool is often used for clothing for other Pokemon.

Mareep will live in large groups and wander through towns, gathering enough food to make it to the next town. They tend to be wanderers with no real home, heading to nowhere in particular. As they travel they gather stores about far away places and will tell them around the campfire at night, whether or not the stories are true doesn't seem to bother them.

Mareep Traits

Allignment: Mareep don’t really care about things going on around them as long as it does not immediately hurt them. They are very passive and would rather run than attack others often putting their own safety above others. Whether this is out of fear or disregard for others depends on the Mareep.

Abilities: Pick One

Static: Electricity flies around you making loud popping noises. Your hair, as always, is on end. When your opponent approaches you the electricity flies from you to them jumping all over their body.

When you get hit with a melee strike you may use a reaction to force the foe to make a Dexterity saving throw, if failed they gain the ‘shocked’ condition. You can use this ability the number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. Your DC save is 8+Proficiency bonus+Constitution.

Plus: You can’t do this, there is no way you will be able to take down this foe. You feel something touch your shoulder and look around. Your friend stands above you and smiles. Well, maybe if you had them there to help you… then you could.

All creatures, besides you, with the ability minus or plus add your proficiency modifier all there damage dealing spells. A creature may only have either the Minus or the Plus ability applied to them, if both are present then they must pick one.


Your tail can let off a soft glow. If you choose to, you can cause a 20 foot area around you to be lightly illuminated. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.

Mareep took a large gulp of Cornn Berry soup. As the hot liquid dripped down his throat, all the stress thats been building up the past year seemed to melt away. He had been traveling with his friends on a quest to find some hidden treasure. Once they had found it, they had split the loot and all gone their separate ways. He was about to take another sip when he noticed a group of rough-looking Pokemon walking down the street next to the restaurant he was in. His jaw dropped. How were they alive?
