Manectric: Electric Type

Mentrike looked over at her competitor and cursed under her breath. They were to close for her comfort, she needed to gain more speed. She closed her eyes and concentrated for a moment, this would hurt a bit, but she refused to lose. She sent a jolt of electricity threw her leg muscles. As the pain started to let up she could feel herself moving faster, with this extra bit of speed she would win for sure.

Just like its younger stage Metrikes fur collects electricity from around it and then stores it for Metrike to use later. The fur however, has a hard time holding onto the electricity for long and is constantly discharging. The sparks that fly off it will often ignite things nearby if they're not careful. When they become excited thunder clouds will start to form around them.

Most Manectric tend to be shy and don't like to be around other Pokemon. The only time that they can be found in groups is when they attempt to race thunderstorms. You can occasionally find groups of five or six Manectric racing ahead of a larger thunderstorm. Just like Electrike, Manectric can stimulate there muscles with electricity to make them move faster in a pinch.

Not Available

Manectric are often found racing storms to see if they are faster than nature often able to stay ahead for a long time before the fatigue of running catches up to them. When not racing they aren't picky and just try to search for an inn or a safe place to sleep.

Manectric Traits

Allignment: Manectric don't like to be around other Pokemon because they tend to get in the way of there races. They seem to always be focused on how they can stay ahead of the next storm.

Abilities: Pick One

Static: Electricity flies around you making loud popping noises. Your hair, as always, is on end. When your opponent approaches you the electricity flies from you to them jumping all over their body.

When you get hit with a melee strike you may use a reaction to force the foe to make a Dexterity saving throw, if failed they gain the ‘shocked’ condition. You can use this ability the number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. Your DC save is 8+Proficiency bonus+Constitution.

Lightning Rod: You smile as the electricity dances around you. For some reason electrical energy always tended to be attracted to you, but you aren't complaining. Something about the way it dances seems soothing.

If you are in range of an attack dealing lightning damage or an Electric type racial attack you may force it to target you. If you are hit with any attack dealing lightning damage, your next damage dealing attack deals an extra die of lightning damage. Once per long rest you may cause yourself to be resistant to any attack dealing lightning damage or immune to any Electric type racial attack, if the attack would have a secondary effect the effect is also negated.

Minus: As you try to get back up from your enemy's last attack you glance over at your friend. Their eyes are close to tears and you can tell they are just about ready to throw in the towel. You need to come up with a new plan, and together you can do this.

All creatures, besides you, with the ability minus or plus add your proficiency modifier to there saving throws. A creature may only have either the Minus or the Plus ability applied to them, if both are present then they must pick one.

Little Rain Cloud

Once per long rest as an action you can cause storm clouds to form above you. These storm clouds can drop an average amount of rain or snow depending on the temperature around you and radiate 20 feet around you. They move with you and dissipate after an hour or if you use a bonus action to dismiss them. The rain or snow trigger weather effects such as boosts or debuffs. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.

Mentrike sat on top of the tallest building in town watching the large storm clouds start to drift closer. They were almost on top of him. He stood up, his muscles were tense and ready. With a deep breath he leapt off the roof and landed gracefully on the ground. The sun started to dim and a raindrop landed on his nose. It was time, the race had started. He bolted thru the city expertly dogging ever obstacle, he was faster than anything, he would beat the storm this time for sure. He would win.
