Jigglypuff: Normal / Fairy Type

As he fell Jigglypuff tried not to panic. He was falling quickly and didn’t have much time to stop himself. He took a deep breath, then another, then another, his body swelling with each new breath in. His descent started to slow as he smiled, his lifelong obsession with being able to sing the longest song in the world was paying off in a way he never would have imagined it would.

Jigglypuff are naturally born with the ability to sense the electrical signals that other creatures' brains give off. By taking this inherent ability and combining it with their songs they can match the brain waves of a creature with the sound waves of their song causing any creature to get instantly drowsy and given enough time listening to the song they will fall asleep. As they sing they do not pause to breathe, they do this so the song they are singing isn’t interrupted as for them an unfinished song is considered to be hericy. If someone resists the song and refuses to fall asleep they will try to keep singing until they are all out of air. A few Jigglypuff have been known to die due to not wanting to stop singing till everyone around them is asleep. In order to preform for longer Jigglypuff will take in a huge gulp of air before starting causing their body to inflate to a rather large size. This also has the effect of making them more buoyant allowing them to move slowly through the air and practically float when falling.

Each Jigglypuff has their own unique song that they sing to lull others to sleep. Some sing in a more classical style whail a few have been known to practically scream to put others to sleep. As long as their song waves match the brain waves of other creatures they are successful in putting a creature to sleep. As they sing their eyes will light up and give off a faint glow, this is a sign that they are in tune with the brain waves. THey will also sway and roll their eyes back and forth to entrance those around them. They have a vocal range of 12 octaves, but whether or not they can reach those is up to the skill level of the individual.

Many stores sell songs sung by Jigglypuff to help creatures fall asleep at night, this often causes creatures to love and adore any Jigglypuff they meet making them a celebrity wherever they go. It is not uncommon for them to live in large towns where others flaunt over them whenever they go out. This has led some more humble Jigglypuff to prefer to live in smaller towns and communities or even on their own.

Jigglypuff Traits

Allignment: The song of a Jigglypuff can be used for good or for evil depending on the individual. Many enjoy helping others and getting praise from those around them for doing so, however a small amount of them seem to prefer to cause chaos and will use their ability to make others fall asleep as a way to effortlessly steal everything their target has on them.

When another creature forces you to roll at disadvantage, the next time you force a creature to make a saving throw, they do so at disadvantage.

Friend Guard: You watch as your foe throws a spear towards your friend. You must do whatever you can to protect them. You sprint towards it and knock the spear out of the sky. It will still hit them, but it shouldn’t be as deadly.

When an ally within 10 ft of you takes damage, they take less damage equal to your proficiency modifier.
