Ivysaur: Grass / Poison Type
Ivysaur lowered his head and charged forward at full speed. He may not be a wonderful spell caster, or even that good of an archer, but he didn't need to be. It wasn't very elegant, but once he started charging, it was hard for anyone to stop him. His feet kicked up dirt as he started to reach full speed, his allies holding the foe in place as he quickly rushed towards them. When he had first joined the group as a small Bulbasaur, he was a worthless fighter, but with training and practice, this team had become nearly unstoppable. With a final push forward, his helmeted head slammed into his target and time seemed to slow as his allies let go of the target and he pushed his foe up and off the ground. With a bit of effort, he skidded to a stop and watched as their foe kept flying forward, flipping over themselves as they skidded across the ground and slammed into a nearby tree. It would be hard to brush that one off.
When Ivysaur evolve, the bulb on their back that once was green has now budded, but is not yet in bloom. The plant has gotten heavier, causing its stem and Ivysaur's legs to become bulker and stronger to carry it. Due to the new weight, it is extremely hard for most Ivysaur to stand up on their back legs without falling over. Now that the seed that had been planted on their back at birth is starting to bud, it will start affecting the Pokemon emotionally. Although not strongly, the type of plant that grows on their backs may cause them to act differently than they did as Bulbasaur. Different plants will have different effects on Ivysaur.
The bud on the back of Ivysaur starts to swell and let off a sweet smelling aroma right before they are about to evolve. The sweet smell can sometimes be too much for other Pokemon and Ivysaur may find themselves alienated by those with a sensitive nose. When extremely close to evolution, the swelling of the bud on their back can often be uncomfortable or even itchy. Only laying in the hot sunlight can sooth the uncomfortable situation. Ivysaur can also become more sluggish during this time because the bud is taking extra energy from the Pokemon to push towards evolution.
Much like Bulbasaur, Ivysaur like to make their homes in warm sunny places where they can lounge around in the sun during their down time. With their extra weight, most Ivysaur prefer to stay on the ground and will avoid heights at all costs. However, there are rumors that a small group of Ivysaur and Bulbasaur live among the trees, using their vines to swing from one tree to another.
