Flames danced around Houndoom as she stood across from her brother. Taking a deep breath she shouted, "Hellgar! What are you doing?!" She took a step towards him and continued, "You have set this whole city on fire, and for what? Revenge? Fun? They didn't deserve this!" He turned to face her and growled, "They insulted me, and for that they will all burn. You have always been the weak spirited one, so of course you would side with these wimps." "Shut up!" She shouted back, "It’s Houndoom like you that give us a bad name. If you don't stop what you are doing, then I will have to stop you myself!"

Houndoom’s howls scare most other Pokemon. They prefer to travel in packs, and one of the Houndoom is designated as the leader. They choose by fighting with each other, and the strongest Houndoom becomes the leader. Once they become the leader, they will be obeyed without question. The leader may also file down the ends of its horns to make them stronger. Some say that if you’re close to death, a Houndoom will come and take your spirit away.

The flames that come from Houndoom’s mouth are made from the toxins inside their body. If a Pokemon is burned by these flames, the spot where they are burned will always feel as if it’s burning.

Houndoom like to live in large groups with Houndour. If they aren't in villages living together, then they like to travel with other Pokemon. It is normal to see a group of Houndoom traveling on the road as a pack.

Houndoom Traits

Allignment: Houndoom will rarely trust any other Pokemon that isn't in their pack. If you are one of the unlucky Pokemon they don't trust, then they will try to use you. Once you are no longer useful they will get rid of you without a second thought.

Upon evolution many Pokemon change their name to better fit their new form and their new lifestyle. Some possible new names a Houndoom might take on are: Hellgar, Demolosse, Houndoom, Hundemon, Helga, Heilujia, Hawndum, Khandum or Harrison.

Abilities: Pick One

Early Bird: You are fast asleep and having the most wonderful dream...Hold on a second, weren't you just battling? Your eyes flash open, oh crap! You fell asleep on the battlefield, how did that even happen?

If you have the sleep condition, at the start of your turn you may make a Wisdom save against the save that puts you to sleep, if successful you wake up.

Flash Fire: The flames lick at you and suddenly you are filled with rage. Fire is your element. Your foes’ attacks are pathetic. It's time to show them what a fire type Pokemon is really made of.

When you are dealt fire damage, add an extra damage die the next time you deal fire damage. Additionally, you are resistant to damage from, and are immune to the non damage effects of Fire type racial attacks.

Unnerve: Your foe glances over at you as they raise the berry to their lips. You harshly glare at them and yell, “ Hey, that's against the rules, you can’t eat that mid battle!” They hesitate. Good, you're getting through to them, you will have to convince them not to eat it, if they don't listen to you and eat it you're in deep trouble.

You may use your reaction to prevent any enemy within 30 feet from using a consumable item (such as a scroll or potion).

Howl

Your howls sound spooky to most other creatures. Once per long rest you may let out a how, any creature within 30 feet that can hear you must make an Intelligence saving throw. If they fail they gain the frightened condition for 5 rounds or until they succeed the save or if they lose sight of you. While they have this condition they can not move closer to you. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.
