Haunter: Ghost / Poison Type

Haunter quietly hid behind a tombstone as a group of Pokemon searched the area for her. If they found her she would almost definitely be taken prisoner, and likely tortured for information. The lights swept by again. The tombstone was the only thing left hiding her from sight. She shouldn’t have taken this reconnaissance job, but she needed the money. From behind the search party a voice yelled, “Over here you idiots!” All the lights turned around to shine on a Weavile. It was her partner, and he was trying to buy time for her to run. Without a second thought she floated away as fast as she could. He could fend for himself, she needed to get back to base.

Haunter are made entirely up of gas and can mentally control their density. They can be thick enough to be touched or thin enough to move through solid surfaces. They enjoy hiding around corners and tripping unsuspecting pokemon. Be weary if a chill runs through your body, for a Haunter may be nearby.

Haunter tongues are made out of a toxic gas, and most use their tongue paralyze their victim's body. They tend to find enjoyment when licking other Pokemon, and will try to lure others close to them to do so, grinning and laughing as their victim’s body goes limp.

Haunter hate the light and will do anything they can to stay away from it. They love to live in dark, damp places, preferably ones that are broken and abandoned. They also tend to live in small groups with other ghost or spooky pokemon.

Allignment: Most Haunter constantly feel despair and can only get their mind off this feeling when playing tricks on other Pokemon. They will prank and hurt even the most helpless of Pokemon to make themselves feel better.

Abilities: Pick One

Levitate: As you hover above the ground you see a rock flying towards you. You gracefully float higher and the rock flies underneath you. You are the master of the sky, no one can hit you out of it.

All Ground type racial attacks have no effect on you. You are also immune to difficult terrain and effects that are bound to the ground (such as caltrops or the entangle spell.

Type Effectiveness

Matterless

As an action you can cause your body to become ghostly and slightly transparent causing all objects to pass through you. Whail in this state things can not touch you, but you also can not touch anything else. Any items or weapons on you become ghostly as well and can not interact with anything but you and the dirt. If placed on a chair or table the object will fall through it till it hits the ground the same applies for your body if you are part way through an object when you return to your normal state the object or item becomes logged inside you (or ghostly objects) and may cause you to die. Also wail in this state you can not hear as sound passes through you and you can only see up to a distance of 5 feet in front of you and you can not cast any spells and any spells used against you that are physical do not affect you. It takes an action to return to your regular state and you can only stay in this state for no longer than 5 minutes. This trait can be used an amount of times per long rest equal to your proficiency modifier. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.


Haunter floated through the front door of the inn and up to the main counter. The room was full of cobwebs, dust was scattered everywhere, and the beams that held up the roof looked crumbling and rotten. It felt like home. He tapped the small bell on the table, making a soft high pitched chime. A Misdreavus floated through the back wall and up to the desk. With a soft smile she said, “Welcome to the Rundown inn, making your life feel just a bit more like the afterlife, how can I help you?” Haunter grinned, the rumors were true, this place was perfect.
