Gligar: Ground / Flying Type

Gligar quickly gilded towards his target. As far as he could tell they hadn’t noticed him yet, good. Trying not to chuckle he pulled out a large water balloon. It was filled with his favorite ink, the kind that was near impossible to get out of your fur or clothes and after a day or two started smelling worse than a Skuntank’s rear. This was going to be good.

Gligar are mischievous creatures who enjoy teasing others and pushing their buttons. They prefer to get up close and personal both when in combat and when pulling pranks. Most enjoy using their tail and claws to defend themselves with some even becoming good at fully body grapples thanks to their versatile bodies. They can effortlessly climb most surfaces by stabbing their many spiked body parts into the surface to get a grip. By using their tongues and horns they can sense the air currents and will do so most mornings to predict what kind of weather is on its way.

Able to fly near silently Gligar will sneak up on unsuspecting creatures to give them a good scare. Although they rely mostly on gliding and flying to get around, Gligar can walk, but most would describe it as more of a tiring hop. Using their tail mostly for stabilization during flight, they may also be able to use it to cast spells as a type of third hand. Their favored spells are ones that cause poison damage.

Most Gligar prefer to build their homes in cliff sides, the higher the better. They will dig holes in the cliff side to burrow out their homes and will often live in large groups with other gligar, their tunnels connecting together like an underground network of caves. Every day they will go on a morning glide with other nearby gligar, however it often ends with them playing pranks on one another.

Gligar hopped quickly down the road. “Stupid tree’s” she muttered to herself. The road was lined with ‘beautiful shade trees’ but the darn things made it impossible to glide making her life terrible. Why didn’t the world cater to her? Was she not important enough for others to care about her? No, that couldn’t be it.
