Flygon: Ground / Dragon Type

Flygon sat in the library, engrossed in the book she was currently reading. She needed to cram as many new spells into her head as she could before they had to head back out on the road. If it were up to her, they would stay in this town all day to rest up, but the others always seemed to want to be moving on to the next part of their adventure as fast as possible. Someone tapped her shoulder, making her jump and drop her book on the floor.

Whenever Flygon fly in the desert, they will flap their wings, causing sand to fly up into the air and swirl around them, creating a sandstorm. They have red protective lenses around their eyes to protect them from any airborne sand, although they try to fly in the eye of sandstorms where very little sand is strewn about and where it is easiest to fly. Flygon are hard to spot inside their sandstorms and can really only be seen when flying over green wooded areas, bodies of water, or when they walk.

When Flygon fly, their wings vibrate and sound much like music. Every Flygon’s wings give off slightly different notes. It is said that when a group flies together, they can create a beautiful melody. Because of their music, they have often been referred to as “Desert Spirits”. There are a handful of Flygon who will use their music to lure Pokemon toward them and then attack them.

Flygon often stick together and will create small colonies in the middle of large deserts. They build small huts out of hardened sand to live in and protect them from the harsh sunlight. Rogue Flygon can often be found basking in the desert sun, pretending to be passed out. When another Pokemon comes by to help it out, it will attack them and take all their possessions.

Flygon put his shield down on the table and sighed. Placing his scabbard down, he looked around; the room was dark and empty. He slumped down on a nearby chair. This was his home, so how come it felt emptier than when he left? As he closed his eyes, his friends’ faces appeared. No, he was done with his adventure. It was time to relax and settle back down. His eyes flashed open and he suddenly stood up. What was he thinking? There was no way he could ever get used to his old life again. He snatched his weapons back up and ran out the door. If he hurried, he could still catch up to them.
