Delibird: Ice / Flying Type
Delibird squinted her eyes as she trudged through the deep snow, the snowstorm around her was trying to force her backwards with each step she took. This wasn't good. She had been wandering for hours now with no sign of the lost adventurer she had been sent to find. If she didn't find him soon, then the next time anyone would be able to get to him was the spring thaw, and by then... She shuddered at the thought. No. She had to find him tonight; she wouldn't return to the others until she had.
It is almost universally agreed that Delibird are kind souls. They carry food around in their tails to give to those in need and will often help out any creature that looks to be in distress, even if it would hurt the Delibird to do so. In exchange for the food they give, they will often ask the creatures they helped to share a story with them. They will then go around sharing the stories they have learned around the campfire with other wandering creatures on long nights around a crackling fire.
Most Delibird don't like to fight, and if they meet another creature that wants to fight, they will often chuck food and sweets at them in an attempt to make a distraction as they try to run away. They are always on the lookout for food to store inside their tail and when offering the food to others will often cry if they don't have a type of food that the creature wants. Although most are nice, some Delibird can be greedy so if you see a Delibird with a huge tail, watch out; They tend to be more fierce and selfish, keeping their food all to themselves and attacking anyone who dares to take it.
Delibird will often make homes in the most inhospitable places to make a safe haven for traveling creatures to stop by and rest. They prefer colder locations and tundras, but can live in warm climates if it means that they will be able to help those in need of a place to recuperate. They will rarely turn away a creature who comes to their door, however because of this they are often taken advantage of by others.
Allignment: Although they are always wanting to help others, most Delibird are afraid of breaking the rules and will only do so if it would help another creature out. When helping others out they will often forget about themselves. If they run across someone who is rude and ‘bad’ they will try to set them on the right path.
Weight: 35 LBS
Although there are some outliers, most Delibird will live to be around 100 years old. As they reach near the end of their lifespans the white feathers on their chest may start to turn a shiny silver. There are some stories whispered between Delibird that there is a Delibird who is 1000 years old. It travels on the north wind and will traverse the globe with a Stantler bringing winter cheer wherever it goes.
