Buneary: Normal Type

Buneary took a large breath of air and dove into the river. He quickly swam to the bottom and clawed at the ground for something, anything, to hold on to. Pulling only handfuls of silt, he finally grabbed a small plant strong enough to hold him down to the bottom. With his eyes closed tight, he focused on slowing down his heart. He could hear his foes’ murky yells from above, looking for him. He had to stay under as long as he could; there was no way he would be able to beat them in a fight so hiding was his best option.

Not Available

Rather than using their arms, Buneary prefer to use their ears to hold things and gesture with. They have also been known to use their ears to jump by hitting the ground and throwing themselves high into the air however this behavior is more rare as the noise that is made from hitting the ground with their ears can often temporarily deafen then.

Hearing

Your ears can pick up even the smallest of sounds. You gain advantage on all perception checks that involve noise. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.

Not Available

When Buneary are cold, they will tuck their heads into their fur to warm up their noses. Whenever they sense something nearby, their ears will perk up as they try to figure out where the noise is coming from. Buneary's ears will often reflect how they are feeling making it easy for others to read their emotions.

Not Available

Buneary prefer to live in small groups away from cities, in warm areas. The more removed they are from large cities, the happier they are. However, they do not like living alone. They are extremely sensitive to nature, and any area that is polluted or toxic makes them sick.

Allignment: Although Buneary look cute and fluffy, they can pack a hard punch to others they feel deserve it. Although their actions sometimes feel chaotic, if you know how to read their ear movements you can tell how they feel.

No pokemon has to evolve, but if Buneary chooses to, you may do so by creating a friendship bracelet and attuning yourself and one other creature to it. (see Lopunny for upgrades)

Abilities: Pick One

Run Away: As the fight rages on in front of you, your legs start to tremble. This isn't what you signed up for, this fight is just too intense, your foes too strong. There is no way you can win. You look around you, it is time to make a strategic escape.

You can take the disengage or dash action as a bonus action on each of your turns.

Klutz: You hold the amulet as all your friends stare at you. They all said it was cursed, but it didn’t feel cursed to you. You hold it out to them and they all step back. You look at it again. Why was it acting differently around you?

Once per long rest as a free action you may cast remove curse on yourself without using a spell slot.

Limber: Your enemy's hand pulses with electricity as they charge toward you. There is no way on earth that you are going to let them touch you. You dodge as they try to hit you. You can take a few hits, but you refuse to be paralyzed.

You are immune to the shocked condition and have resistance to lighting damage.

Evolution Trait

Ears: You have the ability to grab onto things and people with your ears even when your hands are currently being used for other things. You gain disadvantage with any check when using your ears to grab things and you can not hold weapons with them. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.


Buneary picked up her quarterstaff and pushed herself onto her feet. They needed to get moving, the time to sleep was over. She bumped Nosepass with her staff, causing him to stir. “Come on,” she whispered, “It's time to get moving. The rest is over.” Nosepass started to lazily gather things together. They hadn’t been able to get a full sleep, but they were almost to their destination. Staying put any longer would be more dangerous than walking the last few miles in the darkness. Once they got to the city, they could relax.
