Budew: Grass / Poison Type

Budew slowly walked forward threw the deep snow. He couldn't feel his body in the extreme cold and if he stayed out in it to much longer then his body may shut down and his bud fall off. But he had traveled this far, he couldn't stop here, not when he was so close. As he took another step forward something caught his foot causing him to fall face first in the snow. He tried to tell his body to get back up, to keep moving forward, but it was done listening to him, all it wanted to do was lie down. This was it. This was how he would die.

When it is cold, Budew will close up there bud to keep their body temperature stable and in the warm months they will keep it open to help them cool down. When there bud is closed there whole body will go numb allowing them to still function in freezing cold temperatures. They are extremely sensitive to temperature and will instinctively open up when they feel the warm sun on there skin.

In the spring time the pollen that budew hold will explode into production causing them to open there bud and release it into the air. If another Pokemon inhale this pollen they will often become sick and sneeze uncontrollably. However there are some Pokemon whom there pollen doesn't bother.

Budew will often create homes near streams of clean pools of water spending lots of time sitting in the shallows and use the clean water to revitalize. If they aren't around clean water they will soon become sluggish and depressed.

Abilities: Pick One

Natural Cure: You hobble away from the group of fighting pokemon as you try to prevent yourself from passing out. You chant under your breath and a purple flower erupts from the ground. You quickly eat it and can feel your body healing, with their help you will be back on your feet in no time.

If you do not take, or deal damage for one round, as a bonus action you may heal one condition you have. Conditions that would cause you to not have actions (such as incapacitated) can not be cured by this ability.

Poison Point: As your foe hits you, you are able to jab your spike into your foe and watch as the poison leaks onto them and runs into their veins. You jump back and watch as they try to shrug it off. It was only a matter of time now before the poison set in.

When you get hit with a melee strike you may use a reaction to force the foe to make a Constitution saving throw, if failed they gain the ‘Poisoned’ condition. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. Your DC save is 8+Proficiency bonus+Constitution.

Leaf Guard: The sun is high and your mood is good, there is no way you are going to lose to your opponent. You watch their moves and notice small particles of yellow pollen fall off of them and smile. Their attack won't affect you, after all you are a plant, so you can’t be poisoned, but they don’t know that.

When in harsh sunlight, conditions that do not prevent the use of your action are healed automatically at the start of your turn.

The warm spring air caused Budew to smile. The winter this year had been long but it was finally ending, only a few brisk cold snaps to get threw before winter was officially gone. She gazed out her cottage window and watched as the trees swayed gently in the breeze. He would be coming home soon, her son had gone off on an adventure in the fall and by now surely he would be finished with what he had to do. He was coming back home any day now. She was sure of it.
