Breloom: Grass / Fighting Type

Breloom whipped her tail around, whacking the Shiftry in the head. She then lept backward as her enemy tried to regain his footing, but she couldn't let that happen. Lunging forward she headbutted him as hard as she could. If she let him regain his bearing, he would win for sure, and she was going to be the one to win this time.

Breloom will often dance around their foes with their light, springy footwork causing every one of their attacks to be unexpected. If forced to fight unaided by weapons, they will throw punches with their stretchy arms. There are a large number of Breloom who are great at boxing due to their limbs elasticity.

Spores

Once per long rest you may scatter spores around you within a 30 foot radius. Any creature in this range must make a Constitution saving throw. If failed they become sick for half an hour and if not treated will gain a level of exhaustion at the end of that time. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.

Not Available

The holes in Breloom's cap can shoot out spores. Any creature unfortunate enough to inhale them will almost certainly feel sick. The large seeds on their tails are coated in the same hardened toxic spores for protection. Biting into one will instantly cause an intense stomach ache.

Not Available

Breloom tend to live in warm, humid areas, choosing to harvest food and resources from the damp areas around them. They can occasionally be found gathering moss from rocks or trees to cook for food.

Breloom Traits

Allignment: Most Breloom can and will defend themselves first above strangers, but if others are in need of their assistance, they will almost certainly help out where they can. Their kind souls can sometimes be overshadowed by the toxicity of their body.

Upon evolution many Pokemon change their name to better fit their new form and their new lifestyle. Some possible new names a Breloom might take on are: Kinogassa, Chapignon, Breloom, Kapilz or Bosotmo.

Abilities: Pick One

Effect Spore: Your foe slams their fist into you, sending you flying backwards. A cloud of dust flies off you and engulfs them as you rocket backwards. Getting back up you can see the effects of the spores starting to get to them.

Once per short rest you can cause a cloud of spores to erupt around you. Any creature within 5 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw. If failed they roll 1D6, 1-2 they gain the poisoned condition, 3-4 they gain the shocked condition and 5-6 they fall asleep. If the creature made an unarmed strike against you this round, they roll at disadvantage. Your DC save for this ability is 8+proficiency bonus + Wisdom modifier.

Poison Heal: You can feel the poison pulsing through you, but rather then hurt you it is making you stronger. Your veins naturally run with poison and now with this new boost you are sure to catch your opponent by surprise at least.

If you gain the ‘poisoned’ condition instead of losing HP you gain HP. You also are immune to the negative effects of poison.

Technician: As your friends doze off around the fire pit you sneak a ways off. It's time to get a little bit of extra practice. You will catch up to their strength, you just need a little bit more practice than them and work on the basics to perfect them.

Whenever you would normally roll a D4 when dealing damage, you roll a D6 instead.

Evolution Trait

Seeds: The seeds on your tail are coated in your spores, however if thoroughly cleaned off and consumed can cure the ‘poisoned’ condition. Once plucked, the seeds take a month to regrow. This is a temporary trait, when the sheet is finished it will be updated.


Breloom carefully pulled the moss from the tree trunk, tucking it inside of his satchel. He almost had enough ingredients to make his remedy now, just a few more handfuls of moss and he would be able to head back home. He leaned down to pry some up from a rock when a shout for help rang out behind him. Looking around, he couldn't see anyone, but there was definitely a Pokemon nearby panicking. He looked at the moss in his hand and sighed; his potion would have to wait.
